What buildstats does
Buildstats stores numeric measurements from CI and scripts, then turns them into project pages, README charts, badges, and pull request comparisons.
You supply the measurements. Buildstats does not run your benchmarks or decide whether a measurement is statistically significant.
Accounts and project access
GitHub Actions can send metrics without an account, using the workflow's identity. GitHub sign-in is used to manage projects, members, API keys, and billing.
Claiming a GitHub project requires proof through that repository's workflow. A project admin controls who can access and manage the project. Keep API keys and private image URLs with people you intend to share them with.
The data you send
Only submit data you are entitled to use and share. Public project data is public, including charts and badges embedded elsewhere.
A private project restricts access to its pages. Its image URLs are shareable bearer links, not a replacement for authentication. The privacy policy explains how these links and cached images work.
Free and paid plans
Public projects are free. Private projects start a 14-day trial when a GitHub owner first pushes private data. No card is needed for the trial.
Pro costs $9 per month per GitHub owner, either a user or an organization. One subscription covers up to 25 private projects under that owner.
Each project supports 100 metrics, with up to 50,000 points per metric. See pricing for the plan overview.
When a private plan ends
After the trial or subscription lapses, private projects stop storing new points. Their pages and images are locked. Existing data is retained for 30 days after lapse and then deleted.
Upgrading during that window restores access to retained history, but it cannot recover measurements that were not stored. Public projects continue working.
